If ASEAN is 1000 people
"If ASEAN is 1000 People" is a data visualization project that simplifies complex demographic data by representing the ASEAN region's 660 million population as just 1,000 people. This scaled-down approach makes regional statistics more relatable and easier to understand for a general audience.
The project involved collecting and analyzing demographic data from joshuaproject.net, then carefully scaling using R Studio and representing this information through custom illustrations and infographics. Using Adobe Illustrator, I created visually engaging representations of key metrics including ethnolinguistic groups and the countries and regions they are in.
